City Laundering
Co. Holds Contest for Associates
Prizes Awarded at Employee Recognition Event
Amy Arthur won the grand prize of a $3,000
travel voucher. She has been with the company since 1984. Linda
Franks, a City employee since 2000, won a Weber gas grill.
Mark Burgin won a 50” big screen TV.
He joined City Laundering in 2003.
Last spring, City Laundering
created the yearlong 100th Anniversary contest for its employees.
Goals were set for the employees’ positions
that allowed them to obtain performance chips to enter into
the contest’s
Grand Prize drawings. The goals were based on performance,
production requirements, safety meetings and attendance.
“The employees really seemed to enjoy
the contest,” said
Jean Kane, Plant Co-Manager. “Everyone did their best
to earn entries into the drawings. It was a lot of fun, and
the winners were thrilled with their prizes!”
In
addition to the grand prizes, a name was drawn every month
for a $50 award. The winning employee each month got to choose
the restaurant for an appreciation lunch the following month.
