New Bar-Code Uniform Tracking System

Consistent with our goal of delivering outstanding customer service, in 2003 the decision was made to implement a bar-code based garment tracking system. There are many benefits to such a system for both City Laundering Co. as well as our customers.

1. We will be able to track your uniforms more efficiently thus saving you time by providing information on a more timely basis.

2. We will know the complete history of a garment including the number of times it has been washed and what repairs have been made thus be better able to anticipate the need for replacement.

3. If you stop a uniform service you can call in and the office personnel will be able to tell you the exact number of uniforms we have at the plant thus making it easier to figure shortages and assist you in issuing a last paycheck.

4. We will have the ability to flag uniforms for repairs, upgrades, size and style changes by the touch of a computer keyboard - this will enable you to call the office if you miss the route driver to have them flag your uniform for service.

Clearly, our investment in the bar-code garment tracking system will generate mutually beneficial returns.

While the implementation of such a system is a huge undertaking that will take us approximately one year to complete, it is representative of our continuing commitment to providing you with outstanding individualized customer service.
